The WEHAF Foundation (Widows Encouragement & HIV/AIDS Foundation) is a local organisation in Arusha, supporting women – many of them wodows or single mothers – to gain a steda income.

Theri work includes:

• Skills training and income-generating programs for women
• Support for families affected by HIV
• Helping women establish small businesses
• Emergency assistance and crisis support
• A free daycare centre for around 90 children

Our Partnership with WEHAF

Since 2024, we have been working closely with WEHAF in a relationship built on trust and shared commitment. Marion not only helps raise funds for the women but also works alongside them on the ground, supporting projects directly.

The Mama Card Project

In autumn 2024, Marion led the Mama Card Project, working together with the women to create handmade greeting cards and artwork. Today, these products provide an important source of income for many of the participants.
